Cincinnati native, FlyBoy had a connection with music from an early age but didn’t know what to do with it professionally until moving to Panama City Beach In 2008. There, the House music DJ earned a residency at the largest nightclub in America at the time, Club La Vela. He worked with DJ NYU of NYU Entertainment, Deftal DJ’s, the legendary Mike Busey, and opened for DJ UNK until his departure in 2011, but not before appearing in a Travel Channel spring break-themed episode showcasing the club.
Returning to Cincinnati in the summer of 2011, FlyBoy worked the local bar and club scene then entered the Cincinnati DJ Battles in 2013 hosted by DJ Kombat and was awarded second place. FlyBoy carried on with his internet radio show, “FlyBoy Radio” that peaked at over 3000 weekly listeners, a vast audience for 2013, and collaborated with local DJ, WillKill, to host, “Open Tables,” a showcase of Cincinnati DJ’s held at Mount Adams Pavilion.
2014 saw FlyBoy ring in the new year at Jefferson Social, a new bar on the Banks of Cincinnati and gained a residency at Below Zero Lounge, the only House music friendly bar in the area. With his newly gained residency, he also performed at local establishments, 601, Luxe, 701 Bar, Zazou, R.P. McMurphy’s, and Monk’s Cove for their “Turn Up Tuesday.”
